At Amergeris Becky is responsible for the daily operations of the company, steering the processes with regards to client services and support to all international wealth management units of Amergeris Group. She assists Remko in the daily management of the group and has held various positions in client management and business management in Switzerland for asset management companies and has gained banking experience at amongst others Deutsche Bank, Swissfirst and Banque Pasche in Zurich before joining Amergeris.
Becky has two children and has a degree in management from the SVF-ASFC in Zug.
Hein de Koning
Hein is specialized in the managing and controlling of organizations from a (initially) financial background. Through the years he developed into an all-round manager as a result of leading large organizational changes, cultural change projects, reorganizations and mergers. At first as an external advisor, but later in different management positions at large companies such as KPN and Rabobank. During his time at KPN Hein gained strong management experience as Senior Vice President and direct report to the Board and as a member of the supervisory board of E-Plus. His main fields of attention were the financial restructuring of the group and the international expansion. At Rabobank Nederland, he ran the control department and was member of the management team of the SME division for the Netherlands. Later as director of the regional office Hein was responsible for finance, risk management and operational control and as vice-chairman focused on the implementation of the strategy.
He brings strong deal making and boardroom experience to Amergeris and as a Global Head Risk and Investment Compliance he is responsible for all external investment risks. Hein holds a master degree in Fiscal Economics.
Carol is the Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Amergeris Global Markets UK. She is both a lawyer and chartered certified accountant, and has held many executive and consultant roles within various companies, including the Hansa Mercator Group, Accountants@Law, KPMG and Investec Bank. Her extensive experience includes corporate governance, financial crime oversight and expert legal drafting. She also has specialist skills in anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing, anti-bribery and corruption, and business codes and ethics.
She holds a BA degree and postgraduate LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch, majoring in corporate law, and a post graduate tax law degree from the University of Cape Town. She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA UK) and an affiliate of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
Paul has a background in business brokers and private equity and institutional equity sales. He brings strong knowledge on the energy sector to Amergeris. He started his career in the Netherlands for Rabobank Securities and moved into private equity at Boer & Croon before moving to Switzerland from where he actively is engaged in the research for Amergeris on target companies.
Paul is incremental at Amergeris and the investment manager for several of Amergeris its funds. He works closely together with Remko and the team in building the Asset Management side of Amergeris its business and is an authorized director by CIMA, FSC and MFSA.
Lino has a very strong background in the LATAM markets and has worked as a broker/asset manager for several international as well as domestic brokerage companies in Venezuela. Lino is responsible for the research and investment servicing for the LATAM markets leveraging of his local network and knowledge.
Liza Nivillac – de Windt
Liza acts as a Portfolio Manager within the Amergeris Group, and her primary responsibilities researching and analyzing investment opportunities in the emerging markets. In addition to having extensive banking experience, she also has specialized investment products knowledge obtained from different positions held at Royal Bank of Canada and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she focused on servicing clients primarily in the financial services industry sector in Curacao. Prior to joining the Amergeris team, the different positions held by her at Royal Bank of Canada were; Regional Manager Foreign Exchange Desk for the Dutch Caribbean region, Investment Manager, and Manager Centralized Operations. At PricewaterhouseCoopers; her area of expertise was audits of hedge funds, private/retail banks originating primarily from Latin America and Trust Companies.
Liza holds a Master degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. Liza is married and has one daughter.
Frank’s professional career encompasses sales, managerial and specialist positions in the fields of merchant, commercial and international private banking for international Dutch banks such as MeesPierson where he was the Managing Director of the Curacao office and ABN AMRO in the Netherlands as a Senior International Private Banker. He has strong knowledge on transaction execution and investments. Frank has been involved with the Dutch Caribbean Stock Exchange (DCSX) since 2008 when he was a board member. He has considerable experience with financial restructuring, mergers & acquisitions in the Caribbean region where he is located, and is now responsible for the Listing & Exchange services of Amergeris in Latin America. His knowledge in financial planning, investment management, financing and corporate governance are highly valued by both his private and institutional clients including funds, stock exchange listed corporations and family offices.
Frank is married and has a son. He studied Business Economics and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Frank Chetcuti Dimech
Frankco-founded CDF Advocates in 1993. After 3 years in private practice he spent 6 years as the co-head of the Bank of Valletta plc Compliance Unit, responsible for compliance matters in relation to investment services, returning to CDF Advocates in 2002. His practice focuses on investment services and funds as well as general corporate law. He holds a Doctorate of Laws and a Masters in Financial Services from the University of Malta and an International Investment Advice Certificate from the Securities and Investment Institute, London.
Simon Grima, Ph.D (Melit.), MSc (Lond), MSc (BCU), B.Com (Hons) (Melit.), FFA, FAIA (Acad).
Simon is the Head of the Insurance dept, in charge of the undergrad and postgrad degree in Insurance and Risk Management and a Senior lecturer at the University of Malta. He is the outgoing President of the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) and the Current President of the Malta Association of Compliance Officers (MACO). Moreover, he is among the first Certified Risk Management Professional (FERMA), is the chairman of the Scientific Education Committee of PRIMO and a member of the curriculum development team of PRIMIA. His research focus and consultancy is on Internal Controls (i.e. Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance) and has over 25 years of experience varied between Financial Services and with public entities in Internal Controls, Investments and IT. He acts as an Independent Director for Financial Services Firms sits on Risk, Compliance, Procurement, Investment and Audit Committees and carries out duties as a Compliance Officer, Internal Auditor and Risk Manager.
Thomas is responsible in the trading department for the daily trading activities of the clients. Trading forex, securities, bonds, funds and derivatives. He is in contact with all the partner banks of Amergeris. He works closely together with Rob and the investment team in preparing investment cases and the execution of those mandates. He started as a trader at the Swiss Stock Exchange. For more than 20 years he worked for Swiss Private Banks in the trading and advisory departments such as Bank Couts & Co. AG, Bank Austria Creditanstalt (Schweiz) AG and Banque Pasche SA.
Thomas is married and has two children. He holds the certificate of a registered Trader at the SIX Swiss Exchange and he also passed the “Executive Program of the Swiss Banking School” and has a bank commercial apprenticeship.
Christian has a background in banking, managing CTA investment companies and securitization strategies. He started his career in Austria at Raiffeisenbank in 1990 and from there moved into the CTA and brokerage business where he gained experience as Chief of the Investment center at Superfund and later as CEO for Qbasis. He was a member of the board at Argentarius Concept Ltd where he gained string experience in securitization solutions for international clients. At Amergeris Christian works alongside institutional clients on securitization structures.
Christian is a frequent guest lecturer at the Alpen-Adria University in Klagenfurt as well as a speaker and examiner at the Austria Federel Economic Chamber. He lives together with his partner in Austria and has 2 children.
Dzemo started his career in the insurance business and worked for AWD and Wiener Stadtische Versicherung before moving into securities brokerage and asset management at Systrade Asset Management AG. There he gained strong knowledge working with investment funds and alternative investment funds. Dzemo was a director at Argentarius ETI Management Ltd where he was responsible for sales and business development and specialized in securitization solutions. At Amergeris Dzemo works with, amongst others, UCIT fund managers, mezzanine finance companies, real estate investment companies and commodity traders on structuring exchange traded products.
Neel oversees all finance related matters within the Amergeris group. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts and brings with him a myriad of experience spanning over 15 years across a multitude of industry sectors globally. His earlier years have been within auditing and include a top ten global practice. Neel entered the commerce and industry field in 2012 following his move to Mauritius where he currently resides with his wife and daughter.
Prior to his role with Amergeris Neel was responsible for the finance function for the Securities division of a large Pan-African investment bank.
At Amergeris Switzerland Pablo is responsible for the daily processes with regards to compliance, banking execution and IT systems. Pablo is responsible for the compliance coordination within the group for the HNWI unit and coordinates the compliance processes together with the group compliance department. Pablo has held various positions in client management and sales management in Uruguay for IBM, Antel and Grupo Quanam and has gained banking experience at BBVA in Zurich as well as Amicorp Bank & Trust.
Pablo is married and has one child, he holds a degree in Telecommunications from the Universidad ORT Uruguay.
